Lights at the Lodge
The 2021 Lights at the Lodge Christmas annual park lighting will be on November 27, 2021 at the Hiawatha Park, at 6:00 pm. The lights will be on every night through January 1, 2022. Visitors will be able to drive through the park and exit through the north gate, or to park and walk through the lighted sites. The first night of lighting includes a luminary walk, live entertainment provided by local musicians, refreshments served at lodge. There will also be painted boards for holiday photo opportunities.
Public Tree Decorations: Individuals, families, and organizations may sign up to decorate trees on the north side of the Lodge, using their personal lights, decorations, and electrical cords. To reserve a tree, you must contact the Pipestone City Office at 507-825-3324. Tree decoration can start on November 18, 2021. Trees must be decorated by 4 pm on November 26, 2021. There is no fee to decorate a tree, but trees are limited.
Volunteers: Anyone interested in volunteering for the event can contact the City Office at 507-825-3324. Volunteers will be needed to assist with lighting trees, setting up outdoor decorations and lighted scenes ahead of opening night, helping serve beverages, setting up luminaries, providing live entertainment at the opening on November 27, and taking down lights and decorations in January 2022.
Donations: The Lights at the Lodge accepts financial donations which are tax deductible. Contributions should be mailed to Lights at the Lodge or taken to the Pipestone City Office, at 119 2nd Ave SW, Pipestone, MN 56164. Contributors will receive a receipt and be recognized on a donation board at the lodge.
Parking: Cars may drive through anytime beginning November 27 through January 1. On the first night of lighting, cars are to park in the upper parking area located off of Hiawatha Avenue facing east. Lower parking by the lodge is reserved for handicap visitors.
