Few communities have a better recreation center than Pipestone.
The modern center is open year 'round to the public.
Facilities include a swimming pool, weight/exercise rooms,
whirlpool, racquetball/handball court, steam room, gymnasium,
tanning bed, and aerobics room. This is a multi-purpose activity
center and visitors are very welcome.

The Pipestone Park & Recreation Department offers adult
and youth programs for the community year around. Fitness
programs include: Aquanastics (water exercise),
Aerobics/Exercise (toning & simple movement for beginners),
Cardio Step, Low Impact, and Muscles in Motion. The Rec
Department also offers Coed Power and Recreational Volleyball
Leagues, Coed and Men's and Women's softball leagues.
Youth programs are offered in conjunction with the Pipestone
Area school district #2689 Community Education Program.
Programs include: American Red Cross swimming lessons -
Girls swim team - YMCA Baseball/Softball - Mickey Mites - Youth
Baseball - Youth Volleyball - Golf Lessons - Tennis Lessons -
Indoor/Outdoor Soccer - Hershey Track & Field - Pee Wee Rec
Time. An After School Activity Center is also
offered during the school year. The Rec Center also offers
special summer programs. Special events include: Pipestone
Area 5th & 6th grade dances, District and State Hershey
Track & Field meets, and a 5k run/2mile walk offered during
the City's Watertower Park Festival. Registrations for all
recreational programs are accepted during Park & Rec office
hours - Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
