SUZLON ROTOR

Pipestone, MN 56164

The Suzlon Team Member will perform a variety of job functions using their

hands and upper body and regularly bending and kneeling while rolling and

laying out plastic, foam pieces and fiberglass cloth from large bolts of

materials inside 140+ foot by 18' wide rotor blade moulds. Once the mould

is enclosed and composite is injected, cured and hardened the rotor blade is

removed and workers will begin removing the excess fiberglass cloth and

materials and begin to sand, buff and smooth the finish or the rotor blade.

Once the surface is prepared, the rotor blade is then painted with a

granulated pain by use of rollers attached to long poles.

Team members will prepare the moulds for the next rotor blade by cleaning

the moulds with solvents and cleaners. Team members must have the ability

to climb a five step platform, climb into the moulds by swinging their leg

over the edge of the mould. They must have the ability to bend and lift

from floor level 25 pounds. Team Members will bend, twist and turn their

upper body and neck on a regular basis and work with their hands in a

forward bending position or while kneeling and have the ability to wear a

respirator due to dust and fibers while rolling fiberglass cloth or while

using chemical solvents or while painting. Must have the ability to walk up

and five steps and work at a height of five feet above ground level.
